St. Patrick's Church and Cemetery ~ Collis, MN
In 1885 the first Church was built in Collis. The wooden Church was destroyed by a fire in 1920.
The second St. Patrick's Church was built in Collis.
The last Mass was held on
June 25, 1989. They then consolidated with
St. Peter's Church in Dumont.
This is the 1935 Confirmation Class at St. Patrick's Church.

The St. Patrick's Church Cemetery is located east of Collis one mile.
The cemetery has changed a little over the years. There is no longer a road that goes through it, as it was when it was designed in the 1930's.
The dust bowl of 1935 was a bad year and there was so much dirt in the cemetery that when they came in with tractors and loaders to move the dirt, some of the headstones were accidentally moved and it took time to replace them in their original places.
