Holy Thursday

The early Christian church introduced the custom 

to imitate the humility and selfless love of Jesus, 

who washed the feet 

of the Twelve Apostles 

at the Last Supper, 

the night before his Crucifixion.

On Holy Thursday at Mass

the children that will be receiving their First Holy Communion 

on April 28, 2024, 

all had their feet washed.

The foot washing ceremony is an important call for all people that they too should be willing to serve others.
